Palo Alto, CA, September 4, 2012, Jumio, Inc., the fast growing online & mobile payments and ID verification company, today announced that marketing veteran Marc Barach has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer. Barach joins Jumio most recently from mobile messaging platform and apps provider Emotive, Inc. where he served as CEO. “We’ve been successful at attracting much significant talent to Jumio and that serves as a magnet to draw in even more top talent”, said CEO and founder Daniel Mattes. “We’re delighted to have Marc on the team as we gear up for a very busy back half of 2012 and beyond”.
Barach brings more than 20 years of marketing, leadership and operational experience in the technology and financial sectors to Jumio. Previously, he served as CMO of Ingenio Inc., where he helped pioneer a multi-billion advertising market with pay-per-call advertising technology which led to the company’s acquisition by AT&T. Over the course of his career, Barach has served in a number of executive-level roles at innovative start-ups such as Marin Software and InsWeb, and several established organizations including Charles Schwab.
“We’re still in the early stages of a huge shift in how consumers interact with and transact on their mobile devices. Companies like Jumio are at the forefront of re-architecting those experiences to create real value for consumers and businesses”, said Barach. “That’s just one of the elements that makes Jumio and the broader opportunity so exciting”.
